Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. • Developing and implementing human resources plans and policies
    • Supporting coaching and team building, training, and evaluating performance
    • Payroll, pension, and benefits administration
    • Contributing to the Leadership Team and successful implementation of the Hospice's strategic plan
    • Participating in the strategic, operational, and budget planning processes
    • Promoting student teaching opportunities and developing in-house education programs
    • Participating in internal and external committees, community events, and public speaking opportunities
    • Understanding and promoting the culture of philanthropy at Hospice and serving as a philanthropic ambassador within the organization and community


Requirements
To succeed in this challenging role, you will require post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field and a minimum of 3 years in a senior-level Human Resources capacity. Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining human resources policies and procedures is essential. Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of working collaboratively with teams and senior management are also necessary. Bilingualism in French is a strong asset, and experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.
