What is the Opportunity?

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Branch Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch, including sales management, human resource management, operations control, and supervision of compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a team, coaching and developing others, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff, assessing performance, and providing developmental opportunities, coaching, and feedback as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch profitability while meeting strategic targets through sales management, human resource management, operations control, and supervision of compliance.
  • Provide leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff in hiring, training, and motivating.
  • Assess performance and provide developmental opportunities, coaching, and feedback as required.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships throughout RBC Financial Group and within the community.

Requirements:

  • CSC and CPH certifications, with the ability to complete BM license within 3 months.
  • Retail Brokerage Experience with a minimum of 2 years Investment Advisor experience or similar experience.
  • Post-secondary education (college or university).
  • Proven experience in leading a team, coaching, and developing others.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage a diverse team, including branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and dealing with challenging and complex situations to drive success.
