Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Ashcroft production facility. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Use precision measuring and testing instruments to locate and repair defects in machinery and equipment.
  • Fabricate repair parts and assemble new equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other trades and operators to ensure smooth production operations.
Requirements:
  • Valid British Columbia Industrial Mechanic License.
  • Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and work with precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including extended hours and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and walk/stand for 50-75% of the shift.
