Bombardier is a world-leading manufacturer of innovative aircraft, and we're seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technologist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence in our aircraft systems.

About the Role

As an Avionics Technologist Specialist, you'll be responsible for supporting Business Aircraft Operations teams in their daily functions by understanding and resolving aircraft avionic and electrical issues. You'll work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure adherence to Material Review Board (MRB), quality, and engineering procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve problems and answer technical questions through Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) raised by Quality Agents.
  • Suggest corrective actions to engineering/Functional Test Procedure (FTP) document changes to achieve excellence objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to MRB, quality, and engineering procedures.
  • Work in close cooperation with other engineering disciplines, such as Hydro-mechanical Systems, Thermodynamics, Stress, Power-Plant, ECS, etc.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • An Electrical engineering bachelor's degree and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • A strong understanding of all facets of avionics and electrical system definition, integration, and certification.
  • A strong understanding of aircraft systems and interfaces, including Primary & Secondary Avionics, Maintenance Data Computers, Aircraft Health Management Computers, EWIS, Electrical Power Generation & Distribution, Hydraulic Power.
  • Familiarity with FAR25 regulations, OEM certification & supplier design documentation, including qualification rules pertaining to avionics and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of supplementary type certification (STC) principles.
  • A strong understanding of EWIS requirements, including harness routing standards, cable assembly manufacturing requirements.
  • Previous MRB experience.
  • Working experience using Teamcenter, SAP, and MS Office.
