At Simplex Home Design Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize project concepts
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure project feasibility
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets for client review
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure quality
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drafting or a related field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software and design tools
Work Environment
  • Permanent full-time position
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language required
