About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager, Internal Audit to join our team. This is a key member position that reports directly to the Director of Internal Audit. As a Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and refining our internal audit strategy, including the risk-based annual audit plan.



About You


To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in audit program delivery, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in managing large and complex audit programs. You will also possess excellent management and leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to success. Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate sensitive audit findings to various stakeholders.



Job Description


The Risk Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for supporting the Director of Internal Audit in developing and refining the internal audit strategy. This includes:



  • Developing and implementing the risk-based annual audit plan
  • Managing and coaching a diverse team of internal and external resources to deliver multiple audit programs
  • Overseeing the day-to-day activities of multiple large and complex audit programs
  • Monitoring audit program performance and providing status updates and reports on metrics
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and escalating key issues or risks to the Director
  • Managing relationships and engaging a diverse set of stakeholder groups to collaborate on delivery of key activities or solicit support and buy-in for operational activities


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you will need to have:



  • A Chartered Professional Accountant designation and a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, health administration, health informatics, information technology, or a recognized equivalent
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing a team, including setting performance objectives and managing performance
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, best practices, and procedures
  • An understanding of how the overall health system strategy and direction impacts Ontario Health
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of the Ontario Health strategy and business environment


Benefits


We offer a competitive salary band of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to balance work from home and office time. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a premium defined benefit pension plan.



Location
