At A & A Contract Customs Brokers, we are seeking a highly skilled Tariff and Permit Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customs compliance team, you will be responsible for classifying goods and managing permits to ensure ongoing compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of General Interpretive Rules, Explanatory Notes, and D-Memos to classify goods.
  • Conduct post-entry reviews to ensure compliance with customs regulations and identify discrepancies or issues.
  • Manage and support the acquisition and maintenance of Global Affairs Permits, with a focus on the lumber industry.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the customs brokerage or trade compliance industry.
  • CCS designation or CTCS certification is required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy and strong analytical skills.
