Position Summary

This position supports the research and development department in brand maintenance, quality improvement, innovation, and productivity initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Innovation Team Lead to drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage competitor samples and inventory, host tastings to analyze new and existing products on the market
  • Support organization of the R&D lab, keep lab stocked, tidy, and write SOPs as necessary
  • Support lab technician with analytical measurements as part of the shelf-life program
  • Work in conjunction with other Innovation Scientists to evaluate and source new equipment and develop new products
  • Run trials in collaboration with Innovation Team Members on different formulations, technologies, or processing conditions
  • Produce product prototypes in lab for sensory evaluation
  • Assist R&D Team members with data collection required to commission and renovate production lines
Requirements
  • Food Science, Engineering, or related degree in progress
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively interact with operations, other departments, and management
