We are a leading recruitment agency specializing in construction and engineering placements. Our client is a reputable construction company seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee highrise condo developments in the dynamic Waterloo region.
Job DescriptionAs a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the planning, execution, and completion of highrise condo projects from initiation to delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to align project goals and resolve any issues.
- Ensuring compliance with all building regulations, safety standards, and construction best practices.
- Administering contracts, including procurement and negotiation with vendors and suppliers.
- Tracking project milestones and performance, preparing regular reports for senior leadership.
- Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing leadership and fostering a collaborative environment for on-site teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on highrise condo developments.
- Deep knowledge of the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through closeout.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects within budget and on schedule.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience in contract negotiation, procurement, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
