Construction Cost Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Estimator to join our team at Covertite Eastern Ltd.
Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, as well as preparing master format estimates and elemental format estimates.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors. They will also be responsible for creating and submitting estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms, as well as maintaining a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Prepare master format estimates and elemental format estimates
- Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
- Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures
- Advise on tendering procedures
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards
- Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- 44 hours per week
