About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Manager to join our team at Donair Affair. As a Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered.
  • Train staff on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to excel in their roles.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service management role is preferred.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and improve processes.
  • Basic math skills to manage inventory, track sales, and prepare reports.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure compliance.

Working Conditions:
