About the Role

We're seeking a talented Production Designer for Web Experiences to join our team at DEPT. As a key member of our Personalized Creative team, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our digital designs to life.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers to fine-tune visual assets and prepare them for build using Figma and Photoshop.
  • Ensure digital assets are pixel-perfect, paying close attention to specs, file weight, and compression levels.
  • Organize and communicate designs, receiving asset handoffs, exporting and compressing, and communicating effectively for easy reference and integration by content managers and engineering teams.
  • Optimize and compress assets, balancing image quality and file weight for responsive viewports.
  • Perform visual QA, focusing on asset quality as it interacts with code and design systems.
  • Innovate and improve, implementing efficient working processes for asset production and enhancing communication methods.
  • Build presentations, craft documentation, and deliver asset kits to developers and other team members.
  • Design, repurpose, and package regional kits for global regions.
  • Act as a team player, contributing to the creative execution of our efforts and prioritizing the client and team before personal interests.
  • Bring a point-of-view with fresh perspectives to the team.
  • Take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About You

  • 2-3 years of experience working in design focused on web/digital platforms.
  • A keen design eye, with zero tolerance for design inconsistencies.
  • Design tool mastery, including Figma, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing large volumes of assets.
  • Familiarity with static computer graphics, including image scaling, resolution, compression, and file formats.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a desire to collaborate with peers across departments.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-management skills, with a strong sense of work-life balance.
