We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Kitimat General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong passion for nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients in our 20-bed Acute Care unit, including maternity and special care areas.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
- Participate in the general activities of the Acute Care Unit, including medical surgical, pediatrics, maternity, special care, palliative care, and emergency outpatient services.
- Work collaboratively with the Unit Manager and Nurse in Charge to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Previous experience in all levels of care, including acute care, medical surgical, pediatrics, and maternity.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
