About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Warehouse team as a Forklift Operator based out of our Oliver, BC Production Facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support production with timely delivery of required packaging materials and maintain inventory control.
  • Operate Warehouse allocated Counterbalanced Forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Store and deliver required production materials to bottling lines.
  • Transport and store finished products within Warehouse/Distribution Centre.
  • Operate Automated Palletizer and De-Palletizer equipment.
  • Assist with freight receiving and loading as necessary.
  • Manage stock rotation and inventory control.
  • Perform order picking and put-away tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
  • Strong commitment to quality with attention to detail.
  • Hands-on, dependable, and self-starting individual.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and basic logistic skills.
  • Teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/weekends.
  • Ability to learn and operate production support equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe warehouse practices and materials handling skills.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain valid Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory control principles and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and perform mathematic calculations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Maintain an organized work environment.

Working Conditions & Environment:

  • This position is located in a beverage/food manufacturing plant.
  • Exposed to moving machinery and production equipment.
  • Loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment requires hearing protection.
  • Requires wearing company uniform, hairnet/beard net, and eye protection.
  • Flexibility with schedule, including break times and extended hours when needed.
  • Standing/Walking (Continuously) on variable surfaces throughout the shift.
  • Climbing (Occasionally) in and around equipment.
  • Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling (Occasionally) to low levels while cleaning.
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping (Occasionally) for product manipulation.
