Technical Line Lead

About the Role
The Technical Line Lead is a key position in our Extrusion department, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. This role requires a strong understanding of extrusion processes and a ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of the Set-Up Team, Welder, and Process Technician to ensure efficient production.
- Provide support to Rolling Mill Set-up Technicians with troubleshooting during the operation of the line.
- Report equipment and tooling problems / abnormalities to supervisor immediately.
- Operate shadowgraph and the PLV system to ensure cross sections are within Mylar specifications.
- Ensure a steady supply of WIP/Components for all lines and inform shift supervisor if there is any material shortage.
- Initiate and support the Examination of low efficiency extrusion lines to identify necessary actions to improve quality, scrap, downtime, and other issues.
Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Extrusion experience required.
- Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. to the waist and 30 lbs. overhead.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset.
- Valid forklift license.
- Rolling Mill Set Up experience and Welding Experience preferred.
