We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Skyline Group of Companies. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and enjoys a challenge.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the physical integrity of our buildings through general maintenance and upkeep of assigned properties.
  • Clean and repair items in vacant and occupied units, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including the use of ladders, power tools, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Apply knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing, electrical, DDC BAS systems, and life safety systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude, with strong trouble-shooting skills.
  • General understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • PC skills are an asset (Word, Excel, email/web).

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma and 5 years of work-related experience.
  • Previous experience in residential maintenance or a related field.
  • Previous experience renting apartments and assisting tenants is an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation respecting residential tenancies and the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants is an asset.
