Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Calgary. As a key member of our outdoor program team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising counselors, developing and implementing program plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs to our campers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise counselors in outdoor-focused programs
  • Develop and implement program plans that promote inclusion and engagement
  • Collaborate with department teams to ensure seamless program delivery
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent programs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with campers, staff, and parents
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA Calgary's policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and adults in outdoor programs
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
