Director of Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team in Terrebonne. As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of engineering projects, managing the engineering team, and driving innovation and growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to drive product development and delivery.
- Resource Management: Manage the budget and resources of the engineering department to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the engineering department.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years proven experience as a Director of Engineering within Manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with 3D modeling software.
- R&D Experience: Experience in running R&D projects from start to finish, across core disciplines: Automation & Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Development.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of drafting software, with experience in AutoCAD considered an advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and French is preferred.
