At North York General Hospital, we are committed to excellence in patient care. As a Registered Nurse in our Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing Pool, you will provide excellent patient and family driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health. You will also take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Maternal Newborn Program
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, educate, and prevent patient health issues
  • Ensure health and safety policies are followed to maintain a healthy environment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 3 months of employment
  • STABLE certificate within 6 months of hire
  • Perinatal Intensive Care Course and Paediatric Assessment course preferred
  • Recognized breast feeding course
  • Bilingualism in French / English an asset
