Position Overview

Are you a seasoned software development professional looking to make a significant impact in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry? Do you have a passion for leading teams and driving innovation in AI and data engineering? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Autodesk as a Software Development Manager for AEC Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software developers to design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient data pipelines to power our work in artificial intelligence, deep learning, generative AI, machine learning, reinforcement learning, information retrieval, and natural language processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI Researchers, ML Engineers, Software Architects, and Experience Designers, to build the latest foundation models and generative AI tools for the AEC industry.
  • Ensure the development of secure and compliant solutions, leveraging expertise in AWS IAM, resource access policies, and IAM roles.
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps, working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and evaluate new features.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, recruiting top talent from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in software development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and data engineering trends, applying expertise to improve team performance and product quality.
  • Implement Agile methodology and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance expectations.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager.
  • Experience managing and resolving complex and ambiguous issues.
  • Experience developing scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self-healing systems.
  • Experience delivering production applications with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience working with Data Lake or Warehouses, ETLs.
  • Experience with modern software practices, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AWS IAM to develop secure solutions, specifically with resource access policies and IAM roles.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure as code solutions, such as CDK or Cloud Formation.
  • Experience in the AEC industry, Autodesk products such as Revit, and AEC data schemas and standards.
  • Experience with cloud-native capabilities, including data at scale, edge computing, and AI-based solutions.

What We Offer

At Autodesk, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting base salary between $145,800 and $235,950, annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
