Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant to the Executive Director. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Executive Director and the BCIT Foundation Board, focusing on strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Executive Director's schedule, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements;
- Develop and maintain accurate records, databases, and spreadsheets to support business operations;
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing notes for the Executive Director's review;
- Provide administrative support to the BCIT Foundation Board, including coordinating meetings, events, and logistics;
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and productivity in the department;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
- Provide backup support to other team members as needed;
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Office Administration, Business, Communications, or related field;
- 2+ years of experience in administrative roles, preferably in a similar industry or sector;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Experience with database management and data analysis;
- Knowledge of BCIT policies and procedures;
- Familiarity with fundraising software and practices;
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle;
