Position Overview

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as an Anesthesia Assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health is in search of a committed Anesthesia Assistant to enhance our team at Vancouver General Hospital. Be a vital part of our collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance and clinical support during anesthesia interventions.
  • Collaborate in formulating anesthesia care strategies and observing patient reactions.
  • Guarantee safe and efficient patient management.
  • Engage in ongoing enhancement of anesthesia methodologies.
  • Manage and service anesthesia apparatus.
  • Contribute to hospital committees and participate in research initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant Program and certification in ACLS.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Thorough comprehension of anesthesia principles and practices.
  • Awareness of CAS clinical practice protocols.
  • Capability to devise and execute care strategies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Physical ability to fulfill job responsibilities.
