Job Title: Architectural Draftsperson

Sierra Lane Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Write technical reports and specifications to document design decisions and project progress.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
