Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team at Sierra Lane Construction Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Write technical reports and specifications to document project progress and outcomes.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to facilitate project execution.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of MS Office and MS Windows.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Work Environment

Our office is located in a convenient location with public transportation available. The work environment is fast-paced, and the successful candidate will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
