Job Summary

Partner Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatic Fisheries Biologist to join our team. As a key member of our water management group, you will be responsible for collaborating with our leadership team to develop processes, standards, and tools that support our vision for a water management group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for the delivery of high-quality aquatic science and data collection services.
  • Support projects from proposal stage to close-out reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
  • Plan and lead field assessments to industry standards, preparing reports for projects across various sectors.
  • Lead field programs across northeastern British Columbia, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and quality of deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with junior, intermediate, and senior staff, sub-consultants, and government agencies to achieve project goals.
  • Perform as the technical lead for all aquatic projects, including preparation, design, and implementation of work execution plans.
  • Establish water quality monitoring and sampling methodologies, lead water quality monitoring and sampling programs, analyze data, and write summary reports.
  • Organize and implement aquatic baseline assessments, operational and compliance monitoring programs, and aquatic impact assessments, including study design, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-written technical reports on time and within budget.
  • Compile, manage, and interpret environmental data.
  • Prepare or assist with permit applications, environmental assessments, and environmental management plans.
Requirements
  • Registered Professional Designation Required, P.Bio, R.P. Bio.
  • Mandatory 5 years minimum of managing small and large scale fisheries studies and developing management reports.
  • Experience with environmental assessment.
  • Experience with data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
