Job Summary

North York General Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic team in the Core Lab – Transfusion Medicine department. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision, while maintaining a high level of productivity and competence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized lab procedures in Transfusion Medicine and Hematology
  • Participate in quality control and quality improvement programs
  • Identify problems and take appropriate corrective action
  • Use Laboratory Information System (LIS) to record and report information

Requirements

  • Current CMLTO registration for Transfusion Medicine, Hematology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology
  • Experience in Core Laboratory an asset

Working Conditions

This is a Part-Time Casual position with 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, nights, on-call, including weekend shifts in Laboratory Medicine, Core Lab – Transfusion Medicine.
