The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Benefits Administrator who has a solid understanding of different benefit plans, including retirement, health and dental insurance. You should have excellent Excel skills to assess data and report findings.

You will work closely with Benefit Consultants on ongoing reporting and benefits projects, collaborate with accounting department for vendor payments and retirement plan contributions, and resolve employee questions and problems with adherence to benefit policies and procedures.

In this role, you will administer benefit programs and enrollments utilizing Workday, facilitate new hire benefits training, and assist in development of employee education.

You will also work with insurance carriers to help employees resolve claim, eligibility, and plan administration issues, and liaise with vendors regarding claims, eligibility, and ongoing service.

We offer a competitive salary package of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in human resources, including benefits administration, Leave of Absence (LOA) processing and other facets of the job.
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (Workday preferred).
  • Solid understanding of provincial health plans and requirements.
  • Excellent Excel skills to assess data and report findings.

Please note that we require a Community College Diploma in Human Resources or a related field, and at least 2+ years' experience in HR with benefits experience.
