Job Summary:

The HEC Group is seeking an experienced Strategic Marketing Professional to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching market conditions, analyzing competitor data, and developing innovative marketing plans to meet organizational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the execution of our corporate brand strategy, efficiently communicating our philosophy of exceptional value and superior service through various marketing channels

  • Develop out-of-the-box ideas and identify creative solutions to support them promotionally, helping to expand our marketing reach and capitalize on growth opportunities

  • Lead the innovation pipeline process, from idea conception to execution and launch

  • Work closely with our Sales team to ensure corporate sales goals are met, developing tools as necessary

  • Participate in new promotional channel activations and develop relationships with like-minded companies to position our brand as a leading, vertically integrated vegetable company

  • Regularly monitor and report on consumer, industry, and competitive trends

  • Research and develop our annual trade advertising plan

  • Liaise with our creative team to develop visual content that supports our brand and marketing priorities

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure brand consistency across our entire organization and all its subsidiaries

  • Utilize project management and task management tools to coordinate and oversee marketing projects effectively

  • Perform copywriting tasks as needed for various marketing materials

Requirements and Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree or accredited college diploma is required, with a focus on Business Administration, marketing strategy, new product innovation, integrated marketing communications, or brand development experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required, with the food industry being preferred

  • Experience in market and product segmentation is essential

  • Ability to conduct fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor, and customer data

  • Technology savvy, with proficiency in PC/Mac, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM

  • Superior communication skills, including presentation and writing skills; additional languages are an asset

  • Exceptional project management skills, including being organized, strategic, and financially responsible

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style; persuasive with details and facts

  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary; ability to lead, motivate, and empower – forward thinking in nature, always defining the 'why'

  • Must be flexible to shift assignments as required to meet both customer and business needs

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
