Career Management in Theatre
At the University of Ottawa, we are seeking a Professor à temps-partiel régulier / Regular Part-Time Professor to teach and develop a career management plan for students in theatre. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of career management, including budget creation, collective agreement negotiation, performer contracts, tax rules for self-employed artists, grant writing, self-production, and current knowledge of Canadian theatre companies, associations, and artists.
Requirements:
1. Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Theatre studies or Professional Theatre School diploma.
2. Five years of professional experience as the artistic or administrative director of a theatre company, festival, or educational organization.
3. Teaching experience at the university or conservatory level.
Additional Information:
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
