We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Manager to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a key member of our Technology, Cyber and Data Risk Management sector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and resilience of our technology infrastructure.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing relationships with business lines, building trust, and providing expert advice on technology and cyber risk management. You will also perform due diligence reviews of technology and cyber risk assessments, assess suppliers involved in developing new projects or products, and manage the development and maintenance of technology and cyber risk management practices.

Your expertise will be essential in helping us build tools to assess technology and cyber risks associated with projects and products developed by the Bank.

You will be part of a large, 5-person team where you will report directly to a Senior Manager of technology, data and cyber risk management. Our team is known for its involvement as experts helping to provide better support for the IT and cyber teams.

We offer a comprehensive training program that uses on-the-job learning to help you proactively master your role. Our training content is designed to stay ahead of new methods for managing technology and cybersecurity risks and threats in the field, and to promote your continuous learning.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree and at least 10 years of experience in technology and/or cybersecurity risk management.
  • Knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity governance in large-scale organizations.
  • Certifiable expertise in areas such as technology and cyber risk, solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud, DevSecOps, management of obsolescence/technical debt, RPA (robotic process automation), DR, resilience, networks, and AI (artificial intelligence).
