IT Cybersecurity Risk Manager for Data and Technology Environments

Societe Generale de Surveillance SA is seeking a seasoned IT Cybersecurity Risk Manager to join our team in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial services, cybersecurity, and data privacy laws and regulations.
As an IT Cybersecurity Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in evaluating overall cybersecurity risk, maintaining an active view, and reporting on actual, mitigated, and residual cybersecurity risk in the organization. You will also help define Cybersecurity Risk 2nd line of defense practices, including assessments, life-cycle practices, operational incident/response, service delivery, and BCP.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this position include performing full-range technology and information security risk management lifecycle activities, partnering with Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and IT organizations to establish standards and policies, developing and managing Information Technology & Information Security Risk Program, providing independent assurance and validation activities over common cybersecurity controls, assessing the accuracy and sufficiency of the risk management governance framework, processes, and methodologies, identifying emerging cyber threats and risks, performing effective challenge of critical and highly sensitive processes & controls, business continuity, and developing cybersecurity risk scenarios.
This is a challenging opportunity for someone with experience integrating vulnerability and patch management tools with IT/IS risk program, knowledge of US IT Security regulatory requirements and environment in financial services industry, and solid foundation in information technology and information security principles, familiar with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, Mitre Attack, FFIEC CAT, CSC Top 20, COBIT, ISO 27000 series.
We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus additional benefits including minimum of 20 vacation days, supportive maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leave policy, health spending ($2,000/year) and personal spending ($1,000/year) accounts, fully sponsored virtual healthcare assistance, Employee Assistance Program, various Employee Resource Groups, and culture of continuous development by encouraging employees various training programs.
This role requires a Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant technical field, and at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operation and relevant security design knowledge, previous work within Risk and/or Information Security/Cyber Security, ideally in a 2 LOD Cyber Security Risk function, background in IT Risk Assessment, IT Audit, Information security management, and knowledge of US IT Security regulatory requirements and environment in financial services industry.
