Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production lines by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and quality control checks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery
  • Repair and replace parts on machines, including bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches
  • Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Document and track changeover times and record
  • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality production, and improve plant efficiency

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
  • Maintenance and repair of waxers, scroll shears, and Cone Top presses
  • Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices, including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
