About the Role:
The Grocery Clerk is a key member of the FreshCo team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive shopping experience. As a Grocery Clerk, you will be the face of our brand, interacting with customers, answering questions, and providing solutions to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide superior customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure that products are displayed attractively.
- Process customer orders, handle returns and exchanges, and provide product information and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
- Participate in visual merchandising, including setting up displays and maintaining store fixtures.
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the store.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and complete physical work, including bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
