Nurse Educator – Clinical Practice and Innovation

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in advancing professional nursing practice and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job SummaryThe Nurse Educator provides expert guidance and education to hospital staff, collaborating with inter-professional teams to implement evidence-based practices and achieve program objectives. This includes the development of clinical pathways, protocols, and best practice guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading educational programs, monitoring trends and issues, and coordinating patient teaching initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:- Provides leadership and guidance on standardized order sets for CPOM preparation and collaborates with stakeholders involved in the corporate order set process.
- Represents the nursing perspective on CPOM working groups, providing information and guidance to ensure project goals and milestones are met.
- Serves as a resource for the CPOM project, bridging the gap between the project team and clinical teams.
- Contributes to project working groups relevant to nursing staff, such as barcode scanning and clinical documentation.
- Registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably as a Nurse Educator.
- Best Practice Spotlight Organization Champion designation or willingness to pursue within one month of hire date.
- CNA certification in a related field or willingness to pursue within one year of hire date.
- ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
We offer a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
