About the Role

The Cargo Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of cargo activities at Swissport, ensuring a safe and quality product is provided to customers. This role is based at Mirabel and Dorval airports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Accountable for daily cargo operations, effectively managing staff to meet customer and company expectations.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Relations: Foster good relations with customers and airport authorities, ensuring seamless operations and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Staff Management: Manage and control all staff assignments, providing coaching and training to improve operations effectively.
  • Leadership: Hold daily briefings with all levels of management, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company goals.
  • Incident Reporting: Ensure that incidents/accident reports are completed adequately and timely, maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in the cargo industry, with a focus on warehouse management and ground handling.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, leadership skills, and customer focus.
  • Language: Fluency in French and English (oral and written), with a valid driver's license and airside permit D/A (an asset).
