Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at the Communications Security Establishment (CSE). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using modern programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, or modern web languages and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain software applications on one or more platforms.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of software development processes and procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve software quality.
Requirements
  • University degree in a field related to the position, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Security Requirements
  • Canadian citizenship.
  • Eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Compliance with CSE's security policies and standards.
Asset Qualifications
  • Specialized expertise in areas such as Cyber Security, Cloud Technologies, Modern Software Development Architectures, DevOps, Databases, Software Reverse Engineering, and Vulnerability Research.
