Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Assistant to join our team at Muskoka Steel Dock Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on our construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and erecting and dismantling scaffolding and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment and sites
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Work Environment:

  • Work will be performed on construction sites, including docksides and various locations
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Handling heavy loads and equipment

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
