At Carol Lake Metal Works Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain machine tools and equipment to produce metal products to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Measure and lay out work pieces to prepare for assembly
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet production requirements
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Willingness to relocate for this position
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
