About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Carol Lake Metal Works Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts with precision and accuracy
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring efficient production processes
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet production demands
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring high-quality finishes
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintaining accurate inspection records
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, ensuring conformance to specifications
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce complex parts
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Willingness to relocate for this position
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependability and accuracy in work
Working Conditions
