We are seeking a Technical Leadership Position for Software Development at Amazon, where you will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying new customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in engineering team management, 7+ years of engineering experience, and knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.

You will be responsible for upholding a high bar in operational excellence and quality, partnering across functions to help define creative vision, product requirements, user experience, and cross-team integration for retail operations in Mexico, LATAM, and the rest of the world.

About this role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying new customer experiences.
  • Uphold a high bar in operational excellence and quality.
  • Partner across functions to help define creative vision, product requirements, user experience, and cross-team integration for retail operations in Mexico, LATAM, and the rest of the world.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering team management.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective.
  • Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility, and often ambiguous environment.
What We Offer
  • A base salary of $183,200 per year.
  • Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
