Heavy-duty Equipment Specialist

About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at A & A EXCAVATING LTD. As a Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our heavy-duty equipment by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools
Specializations:
- Diesel Engine Repair: Fuel injection system, exhaust system, cooling system, lubrication system, engine control system, major internal engine repairs or overhaul
- Powered Equipment Repair: Hydraulic-operated working attachments, compressors
- Mechanical Maintenance and Repair: Mechanical transmissions, drive trains and final drives, hydraulic transmissions, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, off-road vehicle tires and wheels, differentials, brake system
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Willing to travel
- Valid driver's licence
- Travel expenses paid by employer
