Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Male/Female Clients

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to provide exceptional care and support to our male/female clients in their homes.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal support services, including activities of daily living, lifts/transfers, bowel/bladder routines, dressing/undressing, skin care, respiration, meals/drinks, and general hygiene. They will work independently as well as cooperatively with others to ensure the highest level of care and satisfaction for our clients.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide personalized care and support to male/female clients, including assistance with daily living activities, lifting/transferring, bowel/bladder routines, and more.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Be part of the UNIFOR union and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Completed a PSW Program that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association and must be 600 hours in duration (including class time and practical experience time). This also includes a PSW Program from an Adult and Continuing Education School Board.
  • 1-year PSW experience gained in the physical disabilities sector.
  • Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) membership would be considered an asset.
  • Proof of First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Person).
