Lifemark Seniors Wellness is a leading provider of rehabilitation services for seniors, with over 30 years of experience and a presence in over 185 LTC homes, 55 retirement communities, and 180 senior dwellings. Our purpose is to help individuals achieve a better quality of life through movement and exercise.

We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in the GTA and Peel Region. In this role, you will assist the supervising physiotherapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents in residential care communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for residents
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed by the supervising physiotherapist, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, and range of motion exercises
  • Deliver dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents
  • Set up and prepare equipment for resident treatments
  • Ensure the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy
  • Communicate regularly with the physiotherapist regarding resident status and treatment interventions
  • Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary system

Qualifications:

  • PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology
  • Previous experience in an LTC setting is an asset
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Covid Vaccination Certificate
