Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at St. George's Physiotherapy Clinic.

Job Summary:

The Physiotherapy Assistant will work under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients with various injuries or disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out treatment programs, following through on treatment plans with patients, and assisting physical therapists with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients
  • Assist physical therapists with various tasks, including positioning patients for treatments and setting up equipment
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices
  • Process claims, maintain supplies, and perform general clerical duties
  • Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients
  • Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field
  • Permanent full-time position
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment:

The Physiotherapy Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate must have hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
