  • Ensure the restaurant line is stocked with adequate backups and essentials
  • Implement creative uses for raw by-products, leftovers, and extras to reduce costs
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the menu and recipes, adhering to high standards
  • Support the dishwasher as needed, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Monitor food storage conditions to prevent spoilage and contamination
  • Estimate and prepare food quantities within specified guidelines
  • Select and apply spices, herbs, and condiments to enhance dishes
  • Prepare basic stocks and sauces to elevate menu offerings
  • Produce food that meets taste, temperature, and visual standards

  • Understand food costing and contribution principles

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent speed and processing skills, combined with strong basic cooking abilities
  • Minimum three years of cooking experience, with a focus on developing skills as a 3rd cook
  • Ability to cook steaks to desired doneness
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods
  • Good knowledge of soups and sauces
