Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Food Services Supervisor to join our team at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food services department, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served to our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the work of designated staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Collaborate with our Clinical Dietitian to plan menus and develop recipes that meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our patients and residents.
• Estimate food requirements, order and receive supplies, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
• Visit patients and families to obtain and exchange diet-related information, ensuring our services meet their needs.
• Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for budget allocations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Evaluate meal quality and quantity, ensuring our standards are met and exceeded.
• Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other related duties for community-based services, such as Meals on Wheels.
• Assist in maintaining facility in-house services, including cafeteria operations, pricing, and staffing.
