Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Food Services Supervisor to join our team at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising designated staff, planning menus, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and quantity in our food services.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the work of food services staff, providing feedback and training as needed
• Collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian to develop menus and recipes that meet the nutritional needs of patients and residents
• Estimate food requirements, order supplies, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers
• Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for budget allocations
• Evaluate meal quality and quantity, ensuring compliance with established standards
• Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other related duties for community-based services such as Meals on Wheels
• Assist in maintaining facility in-house services, including cafeteria operations and security

Requirements
• Diploma from a recognized two-year Food Service/Nutrition Management program
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in food services management
• Food Safe certificate and ability to obtain a valid BC Food Handler's Certificate
