About Onward Play
Onward Play is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation's leading brands. We are currently seeking a talented Lighting and VFX Specialist to join a small, dynamic game studio based in the US.
This remote position offers flexibility to work from anywhere in the US or Canada, with a preference for candidates in the PST time zone. As a Lighting and VFX Specialist, you will play an integral role in the art team, collaborating closely with the Art Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both lighting and visual effects within a game engine (Unity preferred, Unreal acceptable) and a strong portfolio showcasing their in-game lighting and VFX work. Experience in mobile game development is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform lighting work directly in-game, with a focus on mobile platforms.
- Design and implement VFX Art, combining both creative and technical expertise.
- Work closely with the Art Supervisor to deliver stunning visual effects and lighting that enhances the overall player experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure artistic consistency across different aspects of the game.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the team.
