Lead Visionary for Global Industrial Excellence

API Delevan, Inc., a pioneering global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates worldwide, seeks an exceptional General Manager to spearhead the Thomson Power Systems business unit. Located in Langley, BC, Canada, this full-time position offers a lucrative salary of approximately $145,000 annually, reflecting the company's commitment to excellence and industry standards.

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, drive growth plans, manage annual P&L objectives, foster innovation, and oversee talent development. Additionally, they will ensure world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost through effective implementation of the Regal Rexnord Business System.

This is a permanent position requiring the candidate to be authorized to work in Canada, reside in the Lower Mainland area, and be willing to spend at least three days per week on-site at Thomson Power Systems.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through engineering redesign, vendor management, and manufacturing projects.
  • Promote opportunities to leverage corporate-wide RRX capacity and capabilities.

Organizational Leadership:
  • Assume full responsibility for the TPS business unit.
  • Lead a cross-functional global organization by setting objectives, developing plans, executing daily management activities, and implementing corrective action to ensure customer success.
  • Foster a learning organization that invests in recognizing and understanding performance gaps, tackling tough problems, and embracing change for progress.
  • Remove ambiguity and align the organization toward both long- and short-term business objectives.
Drive Business Performance:
  • Utilize an 80/20 mindset to serve top customers through strong operational performance.
  • Develop, communicate, and align the organization around key performance indicators to achieve performance targets.
  • Lead the business management cadence (daily/weekly/monthly) with the site leadership team to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
  • Manage budgets and spending to achieve long and short-term business objectives, focusing on revenue, operating income, and cash performance.
  • Partner with other site leaders, business units, segments, and central functions to ensure Regal Rexnord's and customer success.
Talent Management:
  • Provide experienced leadership, coaching, and mentorship for the organization.
  • Lead the talent management system with the TPS leadership team to drive organizational effectiveness, proper structure, and employee development aligned with achieving business objectives.
Continuous Improvement Leadership:
  • Set a clear vision for the site with a supporting continuous improvement roadmap to achieve the intended future state.
  • Lead the development, organizational alignment, and achievement of long-term value stream/operational improvement priorities (policy deployment).
  • Lead and engage employees during daily management, kaizens, and projects to drive continuous improvement and foster a progressive organization.
  • Leverage knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles to solve problems using a structured, data-driven, fact-based, and team-oriented approach.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Engineering.
  • Track record of delivering above-market growth via full strategic planning and execution cycle.
  • Proven managerial experience and knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
  • Demonstrated ability to affect team transformation using change management principles.
  • MBA would be an asset.
  • Technical background preferred (e.g., engineering, power generation, emergency power, electrical).
