About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join our team at State Street. As a key member of our financial engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom models within the liquidity risk space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explore patterns in trade and quotes data to design testable quantitative hypotheses for liquidity risk models
  • Find and document deficiencies in existing liquidity risk models and propose alternatives backed by quantitative support
  • Work with model risk governance group to obtain model approval for use in a production environment
  • Create whitepapers and model specification documents summarizing details behind various models
  • Advise clients and Client Service teams on complex issues surrounding liquidity risk management analytics
  • Provide financial specifications for the design of new risk management analytics functionality
  • Identify the data requirements for liquidity risk solutions and work closely with our data team to determine sources / mappings for this data
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support in the form of product demonstrations, workshops, pilots and client implementation consulting
Requirements
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills as evidenced by an advanced degree in Financial Engineering/Mathematics/Computer science/Engineering/Physics or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience working in a quantitative setting group within the financial sector; Experience working with fixed income transaction and quotes data is highly desirable
  • Must be proficient in SQL, Python and R. Working knowledge with common data science libraries
  • Experience in project management and delivery
